"Question" (raises hand)

These two characters make their re-appearance to the big screen this week (hooray!, if you're a kid)

But my beef for the week is this: Try to tell me how this works out:

Alice in Wonderland was only in theaters for 3 months and it grossed $1,017,220,165

The Dark Knight (by far a better movie) was out for twice as long-6 months-and came up with only $1,001,921,825

Was it that more kids came to see Alice? Ticket prices went up again in the two years? Alice was in more theaters? One was bootlegged more? What?

whatever...
I don't get people ... or movies nowadays ...

North A. in South A.

Sat. (12th) is when USA faces off against England in 1 of 3 first round world cup matches.

Wear your red, white, blue, and cross your fingers!

I think we got a good chance to come out and make some noise this time. But we will be up against the likes of Brazil, Spain, and defending champs-Italy.

It won't really be easy, but it should be fun to watch!

100 days, 100 degrees

(Post-Memorial Day rambling)

The pool is nice, the watermelon's ready, summer's here again, try not to get too sweaty.

* Today is officially the International Day of the Child, aka 'Children's Day'. So if you have kids, read them a Dr. Seuss and let them have a cookie. Give them a hug and a kiss. Then take a break while they play with the dog. Remember that they will be the ones to carry on after you.
No kids yet?
No worries.
But don't wait too long : )
